As part of the launch of the brand new series, I'm going to be launching a Kickstarter in January 2026!
The Kickstarter will feature:
* Three (3) Exclusive Special Editions for the first two books in the Bones and Shadow series! Those will include the Deluxe Retail Edition, The Art Deco Edition, and The Gothic Edition, and were all designed with human artists (the second two are each collaborations with two different artists per cover, so four in total!)
* Tons of original art by human artists!
* The first paperback and hardcover editions offered for these books (and will be sent to Kickstarter backers months before the retail versions!)
* Signed by the author!
* Beautiful editions for all three versions which will include: foiled covers and dust jackets, sprayed edges, original art inside the books, a gorgeous fantasy map by Ink and Lore Maps, unique and exclusive to Kickstarter title page art, end papers, chapter headings, and more!
* Some incredible stretch goals and add-ons that will be pretty amazing if we hit even a few of them!
All artwork, including the three different special editions and their cover art, etc., is still in production but the finals will be shared as soon as they're finished! :)
Bio
Jules D’Or is the fantasy and paranormal romance pen name for USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author JC Andrijeski.
Jules/JC is an obsessive fan of romantasy and enemies to lovers stories, who also happens to have a background in journalism and history, and a tendency to drink far too much coffee. She’s also been known to meditate in caves, abduct furry and shiny things, wander far from home, and will generally read whatever she can get her hands on. She grew up in the Bay Area of California, but at various times lived in the U.K., Europe, Australia and Asia, and from coast to coast in the United States.
As of this writing, she is back in California, where she writes full time and annoys various family members, but, as that could change any minute really, that may not be true by the time you read this.
